New! Trailblazing class on Parrett Mountain


Parents! Are you looking for a way to get your 9 to 15 year-old out of the house and off the electronics? Sign them up for Trailblazing! Mitch Stevenson, a recent graduate from GFU, will lead the group into the wilderness for an adventure. They will blaze a trail into the wooded forest for the new Bob and Crystal Rilee Park at Parrett Mountain Farm, while keeping an eye out for ancient arrowheads. Discover breathtaking lookouts and the natural beauty that comes from the great outdoors. Campers will spend 30 hours over six Fridays and will learn about the plants and animals of the Northwest while having a great adventure creating and restoring trails.

Sometimes called freerunning, Parkour is the art of getting from Point A to Point B in the most efficient way possible. Think of George of the Jungle with his vines in the urban setting - running, climbing, swinging, vaulting, jumping, and rolling.

Start with the basics, the way that Joseph Pilates intended, and get the most out of your Pilates Mat Classes. You will learn the fundamentals and proper technique, focusing on body connections, breathing, alignment, and awareness. Great for newcomers and for those who want to refine their knowledge, understanding, and ability. This class will help you create a strong, flexible spine, and improve your posture and body alignment. No experience required. Bring your own mat.

Via Page, E-500 RYT, teaches people of all ages, shapes, and abilities how to move with intelligence so they can improve performance, eliminate pain, heal and avoid injuries, and live longer. Using BASI Pilates, Ki-Hara Resistance Stretching, Yoga Tune Up®, YTU® Therapy Balls, in classes, workshops, and privates, Via helps athletes, seniors, and people in pain from injuries and other limitations, to gain and maintain functional movement, strength, flexibility, good posture, and balance. Her motto is: "Move as much as you can, as long as you can". She lives in Newberg, OR, and Puerto Vallarta, MX. Sometimes she returns to Southern California to work with clients there and to see her grandchildren.

Learn to use your own resistance to increase your flexibility, strength, and aerobic capacity. This class will bring Ki-Hara Resistance Stretching, a favorite workout for Olympic and elite athletes, to Newberg and to you. It will balance, strengthen, and stretch important muscle groups, reduce pain, improve performance, heal and prevent injuries, and help you live longer and happier in your body. No previous experience required. Bring your own mat.

Beginning Yoga
with Adina McConaughey

This is a simple introduction to Hatha Yoga. Whether you are trying yoga for the first time or simply consider yourself a beginner, this series can enhance your fitness goals and reduce stress. This series provides a slower paced class with more descriptions as you learn each posture. Hatha yoga promotes flexibility, balance, stress relief, relaxation, and overall wellbeing.

Hatha Yoga
with Adina McConaughey

This class will incorporate standing poses and basic seated work for flexibility, balance, strength, stress relief, and an overall sense of well-being in a supportive enviornment. This class can be modified for various fitness levels. Every body is a yoga body, and health comes in every size. Bring a yoga mat, 1 - 2 yoga blocks and a strap or Theraband if possible.

Yoga Tune Up
with Via Page

This is not a traditional yoga flow class. This anatomy-based, therapeutic movement class will use a combination of yoga, corrective exercise, and self-care techniques to help you reduce and prevent pain and improve your posture. Yoga Tune Up will help you move better. No experience necessary. Bring your own mat.
