What every parent wants for Christmas - a night out, a night in, a night to Christmas shop, a night with no kids.  Treat yourself to a night off and treat your kids to a fun, supervised evening. 

What every kid wants - a night of fun! Children can choose their own combination of fun throughout the night: gymnastics activities led by our gymnastics instructors, crafts, movie and popcorn, game room, etc. 

Dinner and snacks will be served.  Register in advance to save your spot.

Proceeds go toward the purchase of NEW GYMNASTICS EQUIPMENT for the CPRD gymnastics program.

This last session of swim lessons for the year is just around the corner. The first set of lessons in 2014 will start January 13th.

Small Group Swim LessonsChehalem Aquatic Center is currently taking registration for Small Group Session 2-B which begins the week of November 25th. With three children per class this three week, 6 lesson set has a great instructor to student ratio. Morning and evening lessons are available either Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs with each lesson being 30 minutes in length. Small group prices from $53/$63. Register early and save $5 per student. Private Swim LessonsChehalem Aquatic Center is accepting new clients for private swim lessons. Private lessons are a one on one teaching format and lesson structure is modified to meet each clients needs. Private lesson sessions run twice a week (M/W or Tu/Th) for either three or six weeks. Call 503-537-2909 to be placed on the appointment list. Cost is $96 (in district) for three weeks.

Home School Swim LessonsChehalem Aquatic Center offers swim lessons geared to children who receive schooling at home. These classes are a small group format meeting twice a week for three weeks and are scheduled Tuesday/Thursday afternoons from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. Aquatic Center management is happy to work with families with special scheduling requests. Our next session, Session 2-B begins November 26th. Indoor Kayaking set for December 1st

Attention kayak fans,

Join our group of recreational kayakers on Sunday, December 1 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. for indoor (the water is 86*) skill practice (this is not an instructional session). Bring your own well groomed kayak, paddle and safety gear. All skill levels are welcome. $9 per craft includes one paddler; additional paddler $4. You must registration in advance. Basketball Officials wanted - FILLED

Basketball Officials are wanted for Adult, Middle School and Youth Leagues.  

This is not a volunteer position. It is a paid position. Applicants must be high school age and over. Games will be during the week and weekends starting mid-November through early March 2014.   

The employment application is available at cprdnewberg.org or at the Chehalem Aquatic and Fitness Center front desk. Applications must be completed and submitted no later than 5:00 p.m., November 15, 2013 at the aquatic center, 11802 Haworth, Newberg. 

9th Annual Fall Bazaar and Craft Show

Kick off your holiday season with this fun family event! The 9th Annual Fall Bazaar and Craft Show will be held 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sat., Nov. 9th at Chehalem Senior Center. There will be local vendors of arts and crafts, raffles and silent auctions of excellent gift baskets, food, coffee and more.

Lacrosse coaches needed

CPRD is accepting applications for volunteer middle school Lacrosse coaches for both boys and girls! The season is March - early June.  Contact the sports department at 503.537.2909.

Basketball officials wanted

We need basketball officials are for adult, middle school, and youth leagues!

Games are during the week and weekends, starting mid-November through early March.

Application deadline is Nov. 15.

Pay is $10 - $35 per game
