Pool closing for maintenance; members may use Sherwood YMCA

The Chehalem Aquatic Center is pulling the plug for maintenance.

• How long will the pool be closed? It will close on Dec. 13th at 7:00 PM and we plan to reopen on or before January 6th.

Come celebrate the reopening of the pool at the Fitness and Wellness Open House from 4 to 7 p.m. Thurs., Jan. 9th. Win prizes, have fun, find out all the activities CPRD has to offer for your healthy fun. Attend and receive a promo code good for 10 percent off registration for select activities featured during the event.

• Why are we closing? The pool needs painting and other repairs. The last major pool closure was five years ago. Statistically, December is the month the aquatic center is used the least by the public.

• Will the fitness room and locker rooms still be available? Call and check ahead of time. These facilities will be periodically unavailable throughout the closure.

• Where can I swim during the pool closure? CPRD pool members will be able to use their pool pass at the Sherwood YMCA swimming pool December 16th - January 5th. Call the YMCA at 503-625-9622 for their aquatic schedule.

For information, contact the aquatic center at 503.538.7454.
