American Profile Magazine Highlights CPRD

American Profile is the national magazine insert featured in newspapers including the Newberg Graphic every weekend. This week's edition (Aug. 1 - 7) highlights CPRD for intergenerational programs combining children and senior citizens at the Adult Enrichment Center in the cover story "Lessons for Life."

Here's an excerpt.
Students forge friendships with seniors in Newberg, Ore., too. At lunchtime, students from Chehalem Valley Middle School walk across the street to the Chehalem Adult Enrichment Center, where they set tables, greet seniors and serve catered hot meals. Then, fourth-graders from Antonia Crater Elementary School next door pop in to help with cleanup.
Read the whole story for quotes from fourth-graders Lucas Klingler and Alexandra Wujcik, volunteer Mary Kreth, and senior specialist Matthew Compton.
