Holiday Gift Workshop

Discount extended for When I'm in Charge

Prepare your 8 to 11-year-old child to be home alone: register for When I'm in Charge. Discount for early registration has been extended through Friday December 10th.

Subjects covered include home safety (including what care to provide for a nosebleed or burn), gun and internet safety, sibling care, and who to call in an emergency.

Dundee Skatepark ramps installed

Overnight Warming Center Open Tuesday Night

The Adult Enrichment Center (AKA Senior Center) will extend hours overnight tonight, Tuesday, Nov. 23, through its regular opening time of 8 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24 to serve as a warming center due to the cold weather. Anyone seeking relief from the cold is welcome.

CPRD employee named OGA Volunteer of the Year

Congratulations to Phil Fribley, named Volunteer of the Year by the Oregon Golf Association for 2010.

When Phil is not working as marshall for Chehalem Glenn Golf Course, he donates his time assisting OGA conduct and run amateur golf tournaments around the state. Phil has been a volunteer for 16 years, traveling as far as Klamath Falls and Bend, working starters, maintaining pace of play, and marshaling for OGA tournaments.

"I enjoy being able to help out with the sport this way," he said.

Chehalem Glenn Golf Course supervisor Brandon Thompson said "We're proud of what Phil does and winning that award."

Next time you're out on the green, be sure to shake Phil's hand.
