CPRD taking
applications for pool renovation bond oversight committee
CPRD is taking applications for the Chehalem Aquatic Center
Ballot Measure Citizens’ Advisory Committee. This bond oversight committee will
monitor the activities and expenditures of CPRD as the renovation is completed,
reviewing procedures and safeguards in order to ensure consistency with the
requirements of Ballot Measure 36-170, which was passed on Nov. 14, 2014.
The Board will appoint three persons to this committee, one
of whom will be a Certified Public Accountant, and another a member of the
Oregon State Bar Association (preference will be given to a retired member of
the Oregon Judiciary).
Applications can be downloaded at cprdnewberg.org or picked
up at the administration office at 125 S. Elliott Road, or at registration desk, located inside the aquatic center at 1802 Haworth
Ave.. Both are in Newberg.
The application deadline is 5 p.m. Friday, June 19th.
The Board will appoint the committee members at its regular June 25th
meeting.
CPRD appointing Pool
Public Advisory Committee (PPAC)
CPRD Board of Directors will appoint a PPAC in order to
involve interested public in the renovation of Chehalem Aquatic Center. This
committee will work with CPRD staff and the project architect. Its roles and scope
of work will be discussed at the June 25th regular Board meeting.
The Board will appoint six members of Chehalem Pool
Committee, two people to represent swimming and water polo, two people to
represent the fitness center (which is not related to aquatics), one person to present
the senior community which also uses the property, and CPRD staff to include
the parks and facilities supervisor and recreation staff.
