Please Note: Due to numerous enrollments, the draw posting has been postponed until 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18th. Check the Adult Sports section on our Sports Schedules webpage at that time (Both youth and adult draws will be posted there).

CPRD Board Meeting Scheduled for Aug. 18th

The next regular CPRD Board of Directors meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, August 18th in the CPRD Administration Office conference room at 125 S. Elliott Road in Newberg. The public is welcome.

Please note the change in schedule; board meetings are typically held the fourth Thursday of every month. The August meeting is an exception and will be held on the third Thursday instead.

Special Paddle Launch Event August 18th

Thursday, August 18th, Chehalem Paddle Launch will open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (our normal weekend hours) in order to join in the fun of the annual Willamette Riverkeeper Paddle Oregon event.

The public is welcome to use the launch for our regular routes.

A special guided tour will also be offered from Chehalem Paddle Launch to Champoeg State Park. The tour will run twice, once at 11 a.m. and again at 4 p.m. Park at Chehalem Paddle Launch and a qualified guide will lead you on the scenic meander of about 2.5 hours, downstream to Champoeg. A free CPRD shuttle will take you back to Chehalem Paddle Launch. (Or you may arrange your own transportation.) The cost of the tour is $25, the regular four-hour craft rental rate.

Time to register for CARE and preschool!

It's back to school time! Do you need before and after school childcare for your child? C.A.R.E begins on Tuesday Sept. 6th. Registration is going on now at Chehalem Aquatic Center.

Bonnie Benedict Preschool has some openings left for both the 3 year-old class and the 4 year-old class - Register now at Chehalem Aquatic Center.

2011 Newberg Open Tennis Tournament

Tournament will be held Aug. 20 - 21.

Entries must be received by Aug. 15th.

Matches will be held at Jaquith Park and Newberg High School. Tournament headquarters is at Jaquith Park tennis courts on College Street.
